Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Service: Cocuyo (cocuyo.ai), an AI audiovisual creation Studio.
Responsible party: Cocuyo LLC (Homestead, Florida, USA).
Contact: hola@cocuyo.ai
These terms explain, in plain language, the rules for using Cocuyo. By creating an account, using the service, or subscribing to a plan, you agree to what follows. If something doesn’t work for you, write to us first—we’d rather address questions than accumulate fine print.
1. The service
Cocuyo currently offers the Studio: a space to generate images, videos and audio from your instructions. You can explore the models for free; generating requires an account and sufficient credits.
New Cine subscriptions on the website are paused. The conditions in these terms relating to the catalog and existing subscriptions continue to apply to those who purchased them.
About the catalog:
- No work in the catalog is intended to depict real events or real people, unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Stories, images, voices, and music are the product of AI generation processes, directed and curated by our team.
- Transparency about the origin of the content is complete: we don’t hide it, and you don’t need to look for it in the fine print.
The Studio uses external generation providers selected by Cocuyo based on availability, cost and capabilities. The available option or provider may change without altering your completed requests.
2. Your account
You can explore the Studio without an account. Generating requires an account and a sufficient credit balance. When you create your account, you agree to four simple things:
- Be at least 18 years old. All of Cocuyo—the catalog and the Studio—is for adults; you confirm this when creating your account or subscribing to a plan. The Studio also operates on external generation providers whose terms require that age. Cocuyo is not directed to children.
- Provide truthful information (basically, a real email you can use).
- The account is personal. You’re responsible for what happens with it, so protect your email and the access codes or links we send you, and don’t share them.
- Only upload what you have the right to use. You declare that you own or have permission for everything you upload to Cocuyo, including the consent of any recognizable people who appear (see section 6). You accept this only once, when you create your account; if your account predates this version, we will ask you once before your first upload.
If you detect unauthorized access to your account, let us know as soon as possible at hola@cocuyo.ai.
News and offers emails. Free tools remain free and do not depend on this choice. If you tick the optional box when you create your account, we may send you Cocuyo news and offers by email. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any of those emails or from your account; necessary service emails, such as sign-in codes or receipts, will still arrive. We do not sell your data.
3. Plans, subscriptions, and credits
The Studio lets you buy credits when you want to create, with no required subscription. New Cine subscriptions on the website are paused; existing subscriptions retain their terms:
- Previously purchased Cine subscriptions. The previous website offering included US$2.99 per month or US$24.99 per year, with applicable taxes included in the advertised price. Each existing subscription retains its agreed price, shown in Stripe and on its receipts. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel it. You can cancel the next renewal; the purchase screen and your account will show you how and when this takes effect.
- Welcome credits for existing subscriptions. The 100-credit bonus (US$1 in usage balance), when included in the purchased subscription, is granted once per account after the first confirmed payment. You can use it on any Studio model you can afford with your balance. It does not renew monthly or yearly. Anyone who has already received welcome credits does not receive them again when changing or reactivating a plan. Creating a free account does not include this bonus.
- Cocuyo Create doesn’t require a monthly fee. Generations are paid with credits that you purchase separately. Credits only work within Cocuyo; they aren’t money and can’t be transferred.
- Monthly Studio plans. Basic costs US$5 per month and includes 500 credits every month, 5 GB of storage and unlimited tools. Pro costs US$50 per month and includes 5,000 credits every month, 50 GB of storage and an automatic 10% discount on every top-up, keeping all the credits of the top-up. Prices do not include applicable taxes. Each paid Basic or Pro invoice adds its credits to your balance. Each generation deducts the credit cost shown before confirmation, according to the model and settings. Renewal is monthly and automatic until you cancel from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Credits never expire and remain available after cancellation. Top-ups are one-off payments: you choose the amount from US$1 and each credit equals 1 US cent. Earlier plans (Basic at US$8, Plus and Max) are no longer offered to new subscribers and keep their contracted terms while that contract remains active. Availability and the applicable amount are shown before payment.
- Tools and welcome uses. Every account includes 30 welcome uses of the Tools that create files, once per account, even if you created it before this change; calculators and text tools have no limit. Once you’ve spent those 30 uses, each use costs 1 credit from your balance, deducted when you download or get the result. Welcome uses are not credits: they can’t be redeemed or transferred and can’t be used for AI generations. Basic and Pro include unlimited Tools while the plan is active. If you made a payment of at least US$1 before this change (October 6, 2026) and it hasn’t been refunded or disputed, you keep unlimited Tools on your account; later payments no longer unlock them on their own. If that payment is refunded or disputed, the general rule applies.
- Before confirming a purchase you’ll see its exact price, the credits or benefits included, the applicable taxes, and all relevant conditions.
- Before confirming a generation you will see its exact cost in credits based on the model and selected options. When it starts, the credits are deducted from your balance. If the generation definitively fails without delivering a result, its credits are returned to your balance.
- Stripe processes payments. Card data is sent directly to Stripe and isn’t stored on our servers.
- Credits never expire. Cocuyo credits never expire. Top-up credits and credits included in plans roll over and remain available even if you cancel your plan.
- Refunds. Purchase refund conditions will be shown before payment. We do not limit any non-waivable rights under applicable law.
- Your creations and the included space What you generate is saved in your account with the space included in your plan (currently 1 GB with Free, 5 GB with Basic and 50 GB with Pro). It’s a service courtesy, not a storage product or a backup copy: we recommend that you always download a copy of everything you want to keepIf you cancel your subscription or stop using Cocuyo, we will try to keep your creations for an additional 30 days so you can download them; this timeframe is indicative and is offered with reasonable effort and no guaranteeand after that time they may be deleted permanently. If you delete your account, your creations are deleted immediately along with the rest of your data.
- If you go over your space. If your account uses more than the space included in its plan (for example, a Free account with more than 1 GB), we don’t delete anything for that reason: you keep everything and can view, download and delete it. Until you’re back under your space, nothing new is saved or generated. Before charging for a creation, we check that you have room to save it; if you don’t, nothing is generated or charged. If a paid creation still doesn’t fit (for example, because several finished at once), its temporary copy is kept for a few hours so you can download it or free up space.
During the development phase, Cocuyo may offer limited or trial access. No charges will be made without first showing you the amount and asking for your express confirmation.
4. Permitted use
Depending on the access or plan you have, you can:
- View the catalog in streaming, for personal and non-commercial useon the account holder’s devices.
- A maximum of 2 simultaneous reproductions per account.
- Send prompts and options to Create and use the results in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
5. Prohibited use
To protect the service and the people who make it possible, it is not allowed to:
- Share the account with people outside your household.
- Redistribute, download, record, or retransmit the content by any means.
- Project it in public or use it commercially the Cocuyo catalog. This does not affect what you generate in the Estudio: that use is explained in section 7.
- Perform reverse engineering of the platform or attempt to bypass its technical protective measures.
- Extract data or content in an automated way (scraping).
- Use Create for illegal activities, fraud, harassment, threats, exploitation, abuse, or to harm other people.
- Impersonate a person or create misleading material that could be presented as authentic without sufficient authorization or context.
- Send or generate content that infringes the privacy, image, intellectual property, or other rights of third parties.
- Create, request, or facilitate sexual content that involves or depicts minors, or any form of child sexual exploitation.
- Use the results to develop, train, or improve artificial intelligence models that compete with the providers that make the Estudio possible, nor as part of training data sets.
- Bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent the safety filters, both ours and those of external providers.
Before generating, each description goes through an automated content filter. If the brand or the creation doesn’t get sent, you won’t be charged anything. This filter is not our choice: it is a condition of the agreements with the providers that make the Estudio possible, and without it we would lose coverage that also protects those who create.
We may block requests or apply proportionate measures to protect people, the platform, and the rights of third parties. If in the future we add an identifying marker linked to the account, we will indicate it before enabling it and we will update the Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The catalog, the Cocuyo brand, the design, and the platform technology belong to Cocuyo LLC or its licensors.
Your subscription gives you a viewing license: a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable permission to view the content while your subscription is active. You acquire no ownership of any works or of the platform.
Your contributions remain yours. You retain whatever rights you have over your prompts and any material you submit.
Declaration about what you upload. By accepting these terms you declare that you own or have permission to use with AI everything you upload to Cocuyo—images, videos, audio and any other material—, including the consent of any recognizable people who appear, and that this use does not infringe their privacy, likeness, intellectual property or any other third-party rights. You accept this declaration only once per account, when you create it, and it covers all your uploads. In the web Studio we will not ask you for each file; the mobile app may ask you to confirm it when you upload a photo. We keep the version and the date on which you accepted it.
If it is breached. Cocuyo may remove or block content that breaches this declaration and suspend or close the accounts that breach it, as explained in section 10.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license, and only for the time necessary to receive, process, host, and deliver those submissions and results to you; prevent abuse; maintain security; and operate the function you requested. This license does not transfer ownership of your submissions to Cocuyo.
Unless clearly stated otherwise before generating, Cocuyo does not claim ownership of the results you receive just because the tool was provided to you.
7. Results generated with AI
AI systems are probabilistic. We do not guarantee that a result will be accurate, unique, complete, fit for a specific purpose, or free from unexpected similarities. You must review it before publishing, distributing, or using it in an important decision.
You can use commercially what you generate in the Estudio: publish it, sell it, or incorporate it into your work. This right comes to you from the direct agreements Cocuyo has with the generation providers (today, among others, OpenAI, Google, and ElevenLabs), and it travels with the same limits: it still cannot be used for anything prohibited in section 5.
Two specific limits inherited from those agreements: the voiceovers and sound effects cannot be resold separately as voice banks, samples, or sound libraries (within your works, yes); and the available voices are only those in the Estudio catalog, licensed by the provider— we do not offer voice cloning.
Watermark. Some providers watermark their results with an invisible signal (for example, Google’s SynthID) that allows identifying the content as generated with AI. It is part of the result and must not be removed.
The ability to register rights over a result generated with AI varies by country and circumstances. Cocuyo does not promise exclusivity or that another person will not get a similar result. You are responsible for how you use the result and for complying with the law and third-party rights.
8. Intellectual property claims (DMCA)
Although the Cocuyo catalog is generated with artificial intelligence and is guided and curated by our team, we respect the intellectual property rights of third parties and expect the same from anyone who uses the service.
If you believe that any content available on Cocuyo infringes your copyright, notify us in writing at legal@cocuyo.ai (or, if you prefer, to hola@cocuyo.ai). To process your notice according to the notice-and-takedown procedure (for example, the one provided for in the U.S. DMCA), include it with:
- Your contact information (name, address, and email address).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- Identification of the specific Cocuyo content you are claiming, with the information that allows us to locate it (for example, its link).
- A statement made in good faith that that use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on its behalf.
- Your signature, physical or electronic.
Notice-and-takedown procedure. When we receive a valid notice, we will promptly remove or block access to the specified content. If it was removed by mistake, the person who submitted it may send us a counter-notice to the same email address and we may restore it according to applicable law. We will close the accounts of those who repeatedly infringe rights.
9. Service availability
We work to ensure that Cocuyo is available 24 hours a day, every day. Even so:
- There may be occasional interruptions due to maintenance, improvements, or technical causes outside of our control. When they are scheduled, we will try to give notice and perform them during off-peak hours.
- The catalog may change: new titles are added and, occasionally, others may be removed.
10. Termination
If you violate these terms — for example, the rules for prohibited use in Section 5 or the declaration about what you upload in Section 6 — we may remove the affected content and suspend or close your account. Before doing so, we will notify you, except in serious cases that require immediate action.
If there is an active purchase, any financial consequences of the closure will be handled according to the commercial conditions shown when you contracted and the applicable law.
For your part, you can close your account whenever you want from your Profile.
11. Limitation of liability
Cocuyo is provided "as is" and we take real care to make sure it works properly. That said, to the extent permitted by law:
- We are not responsible for indirect damages arising from use of the service or for interruptions that are outside our reasonable control.
- Our total liability to you is limited, at most, to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it.
Your responsibility for your use. If you violate these terms — for example, by generating or using content in the prohibited ways in point 5 — and that violation causes a third party to make a claim against Cocuyo, you will be responsible to us for the damages and the reasonable defense costs that this violation causes us. This applies to what you do with the service, not to failures of the service itself.
Nothing above reduces the rights that the law in your country grants you as a consumer and that cannot be waived by contract. Those rights are above these terms, always.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States of America, where Cocuyo LLC is headquartered.
This applies without prejudice to the protections you are entitled to as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence, which will continue to apply when they cannot be waived.
13. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, your account, or your subscription, write to us at hola@cocuyo.ai. We answer people, not templates.
Thanks for discovering and creating stories with Cocuyo.
