How to remove a photo background

    Free, no watermark. The first time, your browser downloads the cut-out model (about 19 MB) and keeps it.

  2. Add your photos

    Up to 10 JPG, PNG or WebP. It works best when the person or object stands out from the background.

  3. Choose background and edge

    Transparent, white or a colour. Sharp edge for products; soft for hair and fuzzy edges.

  4. Download

    Compare before and after and download each photo or all of them in a ZIP.

  5. A new background?

    To put in another setting, the Change the background App generates it with AI (it uses credits).

Remove a photo background: common questions

How do I make the background white?

Choose “White” under Background and the photo downloads as a JPG on white. With “Transparent” you get a PNG with no background.

Which photos work best?

Those with a clear subject: a person, a product, a pet or an object that stands apart from the background. With backgrounds very similar to the subject, the edge may not be perfect.

Is it free?
