How do I make a ringtone?
Set the start where the part you like begins and press “Ringtone (30 s)”: the end moves to 30 seconds and gentle fades are added. Android takes the MP3; iPhone needs M4R.
Why is M4R not listed?
M4R is AAC audio and we only offer it if your browser can create it (for example Safari, or Chrome on Windows and Mac). If it is not listed, download the MP3.
Does it lose quality?
The clip is saved again: WAV is lossless and MP3 uses 192 kbps, which sounds practically the same for music and speech.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs inside your browser: audio files are read and processed on your device and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party. The MP3 encoder is served from our own site. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to download the result we ask for a free account, with no subscription. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro. It never adds a watermark.
What are the limits?
Audio files up to 100 MB and 15 minutes that your browser can read. They are processed one at a time and the MP3 is made in the background so the tab stays responsive, even on a phone.
