Cut, merge and ringtones
Keep the part of a song you like while you see its waveform, make a 30-second ringtone or join several voice notes into one file.
Change the format
So an audio file plays anywhere: turn M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC into MP3 or WAV, and into OGG or M4A if your browser can create them.
Volume and noise
If a recording is too quiet or has a constant noise: raise the volume without distortion or subtract the hum, the fan or the microphone hiss.
Speech to text and audio for social media
Turn an interview, a lesson or a voice note into text with Whisper on your device, or turn a podcast clip into a video with an animated waveform.
Synthesized sounds
Create a beep, whoosh, impact, synthetic rain, riser or click lasting 0.1 to 15 seconds. These are local presets without AI or recordings: preview and download WAV with a free account (30 welcome uses, then 1 credit per use).
Record voice
Record a local take with microphone permission and download its actual format for later editing.
Music: tuning, tempo and pitch
Tune a guitar or another instrument with your microphone, keep time with a metronome, find a song’s BPM, change its pitch or speed and adjust the bass and treble.
Test microphone and speakers
Check that your microphone hears you and how loud, or generate tones and noise to test speakers and headphones.

Audio tools: common questions
Which audio tool should I use?
It depends on the job: MP3 cutter to keep one part or make a ringtone; Merge audio files to join several recordings; Audio converter to change the format; Boost volume if it is too quiet; Remove noise if there is a constant hum; Transcribe to get it as text; and Podcast audiogram to share it on social media as a video.
What if the sound is inside a video?
Extract audio from video saves it as an MP3 (MP4 to MP3) without touching the video, Music on a video lets you add a song to it and Remove silences cuts the pauses out of a talking video: all three are on this page, under “Also useful for audio”. Transcribe also takes videos and is under “Speech to text and audio for social media”.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs inside your browser: audio files are read and processed on your device and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party. The MP3 encoder is served from our own site. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try them before signing up; to download a result or keep using them, we ask for a free account, with no subscription. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro. They never add a watermark.
What are the limits?
In general, audio files up to 100 MB and 15 minutes that your browser can read, processed one at a time. Some tools have their own limits, such as Merge audio, which takes up to 20 files and 30 minutes in total; each page says so.
