TIPS

To get it right

Tip 1

Keep a dark colour on a light background: some readers fail with inverted colours.

Tip 2

Leave white space around the QR when printing.

Tip 3

If it goes on a flyer, say what it opens: “Scan to see the menu”.

QR code: common questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. The content is stored directly in the code, with no redirects of ours, so it works as long as what it links to exists.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Upload it and increase the error correction so it still scans. Always test the QR before printing.

How do I make a Wi-Fi QR?

Choose the Wi-Fi type and type the network name, password and security type. When scanned, the phone connects by itself.

Is it free?

Yes. The free tools in this guide run in your browser and add no watermark. Tools that create files come with 30 welcome uses on a free account, then cost 1 credit per use; tools that show the result on screen have no usage cap. You can try them before signing up; to download the result or keep using them we ask for a free account, with no subscription. The templates it mentions do use credits to generate, and Free includes no credits.
