PDF to reviewable Excel: common questions
Is all formatting preserved?
Table detection is approximate and does not identify numeric types. Every XLSX cell is a string, avoiding formulas and preserving extracted text. No OCR or complex-table reconstruction; encrypted PDFs are not supported.
What are the limits?
Up to 20 MiB per file and 100 pages or slides. OOXML: expanded ZIP up to 64 MiB, 2,000 entries and 16 MiB per entry. Tables: 5,000 rows, 100 columns and 100,000 cells; up to 20 worksheets. Text: 500,000 characters. Output: up to 60 MiB.
Are formulas recalculated or macros executed?
No. Macros are not executed and external relationships are not followed. XLSX uses cached formula values; update and save the workbook in your editor before converting.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Cocuyo’s local engines download and your session is checked; file content is processed on this device.
Do I need a subscription or credits?
Only a free account to download the result. No subscription is required: a free account comes with 30 welcome uses, then each use costs 1 credit.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. Files are read and converted in your browser. Cocuyo serves local engines; document content is never sent to a server. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to download the result we ask for a free account, with no subscription. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro. It never adds a watermark.
