Online calculator for free: basic and scientific
Do quick or scientific calculations with your keyboard or the on-screen keys. It follows the order of operations: 2 + 3 × 4 gives 14, not 20. It has degrees and radians, memory, the last answer (Ans) and a history of the last 20 calculations, kept only in this tab.

HOW TO USE IT
Three steps.
Choose the mode
Basic to add, subtract, multiply, divide and work out percentages; scientific for trigonometry, logarithms, powers and factorials.
Type the calculation
Use the keys or your computer keyboard. You can use parentheses and type 2π or 3(4+1) without the × sign.
Press = or Enter
You get the result with up to 12 significant digits. Press “Copy” or tap a calculation in the history to bring it back.

Online calculator: common questions
In which order does it calculate?
Parentheses first, then powers and roots, then multiplication and division, and finally addition and subtraction, from left to right. That is why 2 + 3 × 4 = 14. A multiplication without a sign, such as 2π, counts the same as ×: 1 ÷ 2π is (1 ÷ 2) × π.
How does the percent key work?
Like on pocket calculators: 10% on its own is 0.1, and 200 + 10% adds 10% of 200, giving 220. For other percentage calculations with the formula explained, use the percentage calculator.
Is the result exact?
It uses the browser’s double-precision floating point, about 15 digits, and shows up to 12 significant digits. So 0.1 + 0.2 gives 0.3, but with huge numbers or very long calculations the last digit may vary.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The numbers, dates and names you type are calculated in your browser and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to keep using it, we ask for a free account, with no subscription. It uses no credits and does not count toward your 30 welcome uses: it has no usage cap.
