A link that does not change
The QR code holds the exact address. If you switch PDF or website tomorrow, it would need reprinting: better a fixed page (for example, yourrestaurant.com/menu) where you update the menu.
FREE TOOL · PRESET READY
Paste the link to your menu (your website or a PDF published in the cloud) and the code appears instantly. It is a static QR code: the link is inside it, it does not go through any server of ours and it never expires. Error correction level Q, more resistant to stains, is already selected.
HOW TO DO IT
The address of your menu on your website or a PDF shared with public access.
Colours, quiet zone and, if you like, your logo in the centre, under “Design and logo”. Keep the code dark on a light background.
PNG to print yourself or SVG for a print shop. Scan it with two or three phones before printing it for every table.
BEFORE YOU PRINT
The QR code holds the exact address. If you switch PDF or website tomorrow, it would need reprinting: better a fixed page (for example, yourrestaurant.com/menu) where you update the menu.
With level Q the code still scans if part of it is stained or creased (up to 25% under the QR standard). If you add a logo, level H (30%) is used.
Print it large enough to scan from the seat, with the code dark on a light background and its white quiet zone around it. The tool warns you if the contrast is low.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
It does not count scans or let you change the destination later. Those services redirect through their server and the code depends on them staying up; this one depends only on your link.
Your menu needs to be published somewhere (your website or a cloud folder with public access). Open it on a phone without being signed in to check it shows.
Our guides explain how to make your restaurant menu with a Cocuyo AI template (it uses credits; you see the cost before creating). If you already have it as photos or a scan, turn it into a PDF for free with JPG to PDF.
No. It is a static QR code: the link is written inside the code itself, so it works as long as the page it points to works.
Yes, under “Design and logo”. With a logo, correction level H is used so it still scans. Always test it before printing.
PNG to print it yourself or use it on social media; SVG if a print shop prints it or you need it large, because it scales without losing sharpness.
Yes, if the PDF has a public link (for example, shared in the cloud with “anyone with the link”). Very heavy PDF menus are slow to open on a phone: compress it first.
No. The code is drawn in your browser: what you type is not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party, and the QR code does not go through any link shortener or redirect server.
Yes. No watermark, for your business too. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro.
