All 8 networks in one table: which size works for several networks at once.

The 4:5 portrait post takes up the most space in the feed. Since 2025 the profile grid shows posts as vertical thumbnails: keep what matters in the centre. In Stories and Reels, avoid text in the top and bottom 250 px, where the name and buttons go.

HOW TO DO IT

Three steps.

  1. Add your image

Drop or choose up to 10 JPG, PNG or WebP files.

  2. Choose the size

The portrait post size comes pre-selected; use the table to switch to another. Choose “Crop edges” to fill it or “Fit with background” to keep the whole image.

  3. Download

Download each image or all of them in a ZIP, ready to upload.

Instagram image size: common questions

What size should a Instagram portrait post be?

1080 × 1350 pixels, a 4:5 aspect ratio. The 4:5 portrait post takes up the most space in the feed. Since 2025 the profile grid shows posts as vertical thumbnails: keep what matters in the centre. In Stories and Reels, avoid text in the top and bottom 250 px, where the name and buttons go.

What happens if I upload another size?

Instagram scales or crops it to its own format, and it may cut off edges or add bars. Adapting it first lets you decide what stays: crop the edges or fit the whole image on a background colour.

Are these sizes up to date?

We reviewed them in September 2026 against the usual recommendations. We could not open Instagram’s official help centre from our automated review, so confirm it there (link below the table) before an important campaign: networks change their sizes without notice.

Does resizing lose quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it bigger does not add detail: start from the largest original you have. You can keep the format or save as JPG, PNG or WebP.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion happens inside your browser: the file is read and processed on your device and is not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.

Is it really free?

Yes. You can try it before signing up; to download the result we ask for a free account, with no subscription. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro. It never adds a watermark.
