UPC-A for products in the US and Canada, EAN-13 for Europe and Latin America, EAN-8 for small packs and Code 128 for text, shipping or inventory.
Type the number
Leave out the last digit and we calculate it; type it and we check that it matches. Adjust the bar width, height, white margin and whether the digits show.
Download
Press “Download PNG” or “Download SVG”. Print it without trimming the white margin and test it with a scanner before using it.

Barcode generator: common questions
Can I use it to sell in shops or on Amazon?
The code is drawn correctly, but the number has to be yours: retail EAN and UPC numbers are assigned to each company by GS1. This tool does not assign or register numbers.
What is the check digit?
It is the last digit of EAN and UPC codes and is calculated from the others; scanners use it to catch errors. If you type the number without it, we add it; if you type it and it does not match, we tell you.
PNG or SVG?
SVG is vector: it scales without losing sharpness and is best for printers and labels. PNG suits documents, websites and spreadsheets; choose a bar width large enough for the size you will print.
What does Code 128 accept?
Up to 80 ASCII characters: unaccented letters, digits, spaces and symbols. It switches between text and digit pairs on its own so the code is as short as possible.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs inside your browser: files are read and processed on your device and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
