Reverse text: common questions
Why do some upside-down letters look odd?
Unicode has no flipped version of every letter, so look-alike characters from other alphabets are used. Some apps or fonts lack them and show a box.
Do emoji or accents break when reversed?
No. Text is split into characters as a person sees them, so an emoji with a skin tone, a flag or an accented letter moves as one piece.
What is repeating text for?
For building lists, design tests or sample data. The result is capped at one million characters so the browser does not freeze.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser as you type; the text is not sent to Cocuyo or any third party and is not stored. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to keep using it, we ask for a free account, with no subscription. It uses no credits and does not count toward your 30 welcome uses: it has no usage cap.
