Pomodoro: common questions
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
It is a time management method created by Francesco Cirillo: you work in short blocks, usually 25 minutes, with brief breaks between them and a longer one every four blocks.
Where is today’s counter saved?
Only in this browser. It is not sent to any server or synced with other devices, and it goes back to zero each day.
Does it work with the tab in the background?
Yes, time is calculated from the system clock and the alert is scheduled when each phase starts. If the system suspends the browser, it may sound when you return to the page.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The numbers, dates and names you type are calculated in your browser and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to keep using it, we ask for a free account, with no subscription. It uses no credits and does not count toward your 30 welcome uses: it has no usage cap.
