WhatsApp link: common questions
What does the link look like?
https://wa.me/ followed by your number in international format, digits only, and ?text= with the encoded message. It is the “click to chat” format WhatsApp documents.
What if I leave the number out?
The link opens WhatsApp with the message typed so the person picks who to send it to: handy for referrals or sharing a promotion.
Do you store my number?
No. The link is created in your browser and we store neither the number nor the message. WhatsApp is a trademark of its owners: this tool is not affiliated.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser as you type; the text is not sent to Cocuyo or any third party and is not stored. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to keep using it, we ask for a free account, with no subscription. It uses no credits and does not count toward your 30 welcome uses: it has no usage cap.
