WhatsApp sticker maker free

Turn photos of your pet, your friends with their permission, your drawings or objects into stickers: the background is removed, a white sticker border is added and, if you like, a shadow and some text. They come out as 512 × 512 px WebP with a transparent background and up to 100 KB, like the ones sticker apps use for WhatsApp.

    Drop or choose up to 30 JPG, PNG or WebP files. It works best when the pet, person or object stands out from the background.

  2. Choose border, shadow and text

    Thin, medium or thick white border (or none), a soft shadow and up to 40 characters of text at the top or bottom.

  3. Download and add them to WhatsApp

    Download each sticker or all of them in a ZIP. Then import them with a sticker app on your phone and tap “Add to WhatsApp”.

WhatsApp stickers: common questions

How do I add them to WhatsApp?

WhatsApp does not import sticker files on its own. Install a sticker app on your phone that accepts WebP or PNG images, create a pack, add your stickers and tap “Add to WhatsApp”. A pack holds 3 to 30 stickers; the app usually makes the tray icon too. Recent WhatsApp versions also let you create a single sticker from an image in the sticker panel.

Why 512 × 512 and 100 KB?

That is what WhatsApp asks of static stickers: 512 × 512 px, a transparent background and at most 100 KB as WebP. We pick the highest quality that fits that size; if one did not fit, we tell you next to the file.

Can I add text?

Yes: up to 40 characters, at the top or bottom, in white with a dark outline so it reads on any chat background. If it does not fit on one line, it is split over two.

Can I use photos of other people?

Only if they are yours or you have their permission. Do not use photos of celebrities or images with other people’s brands or characters.

What removes the background?

The same cut-out model as our Remove background tool: U²-Net in its small version (Apache 2.0 licence) and onnxruntime-web (MIT licence), served from our own site. The first time about 19 MB are downloaded and your browser keeps them. If your image is already a transparent PNG, choose “My image is already transparent” and nothing needs downloading.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The tool runs inside your browser: files are read and processed on your device and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.

Is it really free?

Yes. You can try it before signing up; to download the result we ask for a free account, with no subscription. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro. It never adds a watermark.

What are the limits?

JPG, PNG or WebP up to 30 MB and 40 megapixels per file, not animated. Files are processed one at a time so the tab stays responsive, even on a phone.
