HOW TO USE IT
Three steps.
Choose your photo and size
A front-facing photo in good light. Pick the size: 2 × 2 in, 35 × 45 mm, 50 × 70 mm, 33 × 48 mm, 30 × 40 mm, 25 × 30 mm or any size in mm.
Frame the face
Move and zoom the photo until the head fits the oval: hair on the upper line and chin on the lower one. Choose a white, light grey or light blue background.
Download and print
Download the 300 dpi JPG photo and the sheet as PDF or JPG. Print at 100% (“actual size”) and cut along the lines.

Passport and ID photo: common questions
What size is a US passport photo?
2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm), with the head between 1 and 1⅜ inches tall. The tool makes it 600 × 600 pixels at 300 dpi and fits several copies on a sheet to cut out.
Will it be accepted for my passport or visa?
That is up to the authority: each country and process sets its own requirements (size, background, head size, glasses, expression) and changes them. We use common proportions as a guide; check the current requirements with the authority asking for the photo before printing.
How do I print at actual size?
Open the PDF and, in the print dialog, choose “actual size” or 100% scale, not “fit to page”. The 4 × 6 in sheet can be printed like a regular photo at a shop or at home.
How is the white background made?
With the same cut-out model as our Remove background tool (small U²-Net, Apache 2.0 licence), running in your browser. The first time about 19 MB download. If your photo already has a plain background, you can keep it.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs inside your browser: files are read and processed on your device and are not sent to Cocuyo or to any third party. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to download the result we ask for a free account, with no subscription. Your free account comes with 30 welcome uses; after that, each use costs 1 credit (top-ups from US$1), and they are unlimited with Basic or Pro. It never adds a watermark.
What are the limits?
JPG, PNG or WebP up to 30 MB and 40 megapixels per file, not animated. Files are processed one at a time so the tab stays responsive, even on a phone.
