Click speed test: common questions
How are clicks per second calculated?
Total clicks are divided by the seconds in the test: 50 clicks in 5 seconds is 10 CPS. Only the main mouse button counts and, on touch screens, each tap.
What is a good score?
As a rough reference, 5 to 8 clicks per second is common with a normal click; some fast-clicking techniques get more. Compete with yourself and rest your hand between tests.
Does holding down the spacebar count?
No: each press has to be released to count. The tool does not detect autoclickers, and your scores are saved only in this browser, without competing with anyone.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser as you type; the text is not sent to Cocuyo or any third party and is not stored. You can check it in your browser’s network tools: your file is not sent.
Is it really free?
Yes. You can try it before signing up; to keep using it, we ask for a free account, with no subscription. It uses no credits and does not count toward your 30 welcome uses: it has no usage cap.
